A Family Story
Van Vliet has been a trusted family name and major player in the construction industry since the 1960s.
In the beginning, ten Van Vliet brothers formed Van Construction after immigrating to British Columbia in the 1960s. After a successful thirty years in the industry, the brothers were ready to pass their enthusiasm for the trade to the next generation of achievers. In 1995, equipped with many years of experience under their fathers and uncles at Van Construction, brothers Edward and David Van Vliet established Van Brothers Forming Ltd.
Before entering their business partnership, both Edward and David completed the Douglas College Self-Employment program, through which they were able to compound their construction expertise with highly applicable skills for excellence in business.
Today company President Edward Van Vliet leads the Van Brothers Forming team offering quality construction and continues the legacy of being one of the most reputable companies in the industry.

We utilize the latest technology for computerized estimating and scheduling systems to maintain efficiency, dependability, and flexibility on each project. These functional systems emanate from the core of our head office to each project site.

Chosen from a pool of 28 distinguished finalists, brothers David and Edward Van Vliet took home Overall Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, hosted by Douglas College. They were selected in recognition of their tremendous growth over the previous 15 years - employing 45 team members, reaching gross annual revenues in the millions, and expecting a continuation of growth in the coming years.
