Crane Rigger

Must perform daily inspections of hoisting tools in order to hookup equipment or materials to the crane for the purpose of lifting, moving, positioning, or placing them in a safe manner. Also relied on for communication with the crane operator, general maintenance, loading and unloading construction materials, installing and disassembling concrete forms and scaffolding, as well clean up.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with tower cranes

• Good communication skills

• Must know and comply to all WorkSafe (WBC) safety procedures with respect to hooking up loads

• Knowledge of how to test and inspect rigging mechanisms

• Must be physically capable of working in all weather conditions and construction environments

• Must own personal fall protection equipment (PPE) and be certified to use it

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds of weight

• Must be available and willing to work overtime when required

• Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from work
